ROSEVILLE CROCUS 10 VASE RHEAD-INSPIRED SQUEEZEBAG DESIGN BY WINIFRED McVEY IN DEEP GREEN/BLUE. This Roseville Crocus vase stands 10" high by 3.25" in diameter, a slender jewel.

It has a handsome form with very refined squeezebag decoration, which is expertly executed. The Crocus line was designed by Frederick Hurten Rhead, one of Roseville's best early designers. The squeezebag decoration depicts stylized Crocus blossoms, akin to Egyptian Lotus blossoms, with exaggerated stems and an ornate beading in the blossoms, stunningly beautiful! This vase is richly colored in a deep olive green with medium blue and ochre yellow in the blossoms.

This vase is unmarked, except for the initials'W. , likely the initials of Winifred McVey, an artist said to have decorated squeezebag designs at Roseville.
