Here is a beautiful and rare Rookwood Pottery architectural Faience tile with an Art Nouveau design of a pink lady slipper orchid in high relief. The green, gray and pink glazes are nicely curdled and the design has good contrast. It measures 9 inches tall and 6 inches wide. Framed in period frame stock which measures about 13" x 10". Marked on the back with a die-stamped Rookwood and the number 1749Y. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws on the face.
