Here is a very nice Rookwood Pottery wax matte vase by Louise Abel. It has a floral design at the shoulder and is glazed in curdled, blue, green and purple with dark blue flowers and yellow centers. It measures 5 5/8 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches in diameter at the widest.

It's in great condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs, just a small stilt pull which touches the edge of the foot. Marks include the firms die-stamped RP mark, XXII for 1922, An A in a circle for the artist, and shape number 1848. A good colorful example of decorated Rookwood Arts & Crafts ceramics.
