Here is a very nice Rookwood Pottery scenic vellum landscape matte finish vase decorated by Lorinda Epply. It has a blue and green scene of silhouetted trees with distant hills across a lake and a peach sky. It measures 7 3/4 inches tall and 3 9/16 inches in diameter at the widest. Marked with the RP die-stamp, XVII for 1917, shape number 2061, V for vellum, and a conjoined LE for the artist. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws or repairs, and the typical crazing. A beautifully colored example of arts & crafts Rookwood vellum.
