MOORCROFT Arts & Crafts Sleeping Beauty Framed Plaque RRP £745 Mackintosh

  

This beautiful hand made and hand painted wall plaque was produced by the world renowned and highly collected Moorcroft factory in Stoke on Trent, England. It was designed by Nicola Slaney and was issued as part of the 2017 catalogue. It is a numbered edition of which this is number 103. It is inspired by the furnishings, furniture and arcitecture at Hill House which were designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Mackintosh's wife was also a highly respected textiles designer and created a "sleeping princess" gesso fireplace panel for the house.

This design takes inspiration from this design and shows a reclinining beauty among Burne Jones style Briar roses to create a striking plaque. It comes in it's original frame oak finish frame and is ready to hang. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or restoration.

Please refer to the attached photographs for confirmation of condition and colouration. Any bright white marks are as a result of light reflection. Size - 35cm (13.75 inches) by 24.7cm (9.875 inches) including frame. Fully stamped to the back with various Moorcroft markings (as shown in the attached photograph for your reference).
