Up for consideration is a fine old heavy large 3 dimensional large Rookwood Faience Tile Plaque Medallion or Ornamental piece. It measures about 12 inches by about 9 inches across.

It is marked on the back with several numbers and symbols. It sports a wonderful old heraldic shield with wavy banner on the bottom. The top has an old Tudor or Spanish Revival armor Helmet with blue plummage at the top. It is in the form of Heraldic Crest which probably would have been the focal point at the top of scenic architectural tile work or possibly a loose piece coveted and never installed. It has original concave back with hole insert for mounting...

Likewise it is not perfectly symmetrical by design as the left and right side are slightly different when following the foliage. It really is a wonderful. It has some condition issues at the bottom but so does everything in this world. The right side has a small chip whereas the left side is a little more pronounced.
