Here is a very nice Grueby Pottery vase with a lobed form like a pumpkin with five recessed carved leaves around the shoulder. It is covered in a smooth and even finely curdled dark matte green glaze. It measures 5 inches high and 4 1/8 inches in diameter at the widest point. It is in great condition with no chips, cracks, firing flaws, or repairs, just a thin spot in the glaze on one leaf. Faintly impressed under the bottom factory shellac with the Grueby Pottery Co Boston USA die-stamp, the incised decorator initials LHS, and retains it's original small round paper label.
