Here is a very nice Grueby Pottery leaf vase with 5 well tooled leaves around the bulbous bottom of this hand thrown flared lip form. It is covered in a beautifully curdled deep matte green glaze which thins perfectly over the leaves, highlighting them. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or firing flaws. Marked with the decorator's initials ER for Eva Russell and an unknown CH. The Grueby Pottery Boston USA die-stamp mark is not visible but may be under the white bottom glaze which is somewhat bubbled.

It measures 7 inches high and 4 5/8 inches in diameter at the widest. A good example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
