Here is a very nice Grueby Pottery leaf vase with 5 well tooled leaves around the bulbous bottom of this hand thrown form. It is covered in a nicely curdled medium light green glaze which separates at the rim and collects between the leaves, highlighting them.

It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or firing flaws. Marked under the glaze with the Grueby Pottery Boston USA die-stamp. It measures 7 inches high and 4 3/8 inches in diameter at the widest point. A good example of the quintessential Arts & Crafts New England art pottery.
