Camark Pottery matte green Arts & Crafts ring handled vase Camden Arkansas
Here is a very nice Camark Pottery matte green ring handled vase. The pottery was founded in 1926 in Camden Arkansas, and this vase is listed in the 1930 catalog reprint as shape #206, 6. It actually measures 6 1/8 inches tall and 5 inches wide across the handles. There is some minor pits in the glaze and one stilt pull shows a little on the side, but overall it is in fine condition with no chips, cracks, repairs, or firing flaws. There is no mark, at first I thought it was Muncie, but then I found it in the Camark catalog. Most matte green pottery was inspired by the success of the Grueby Pottery, which also influenced the Roseville, Weller, Hampshire, and Teco potteries.
