This piece realistically modeled and painted like an Oak Wood Wine Container in an Arts & Crafts form with a hammered copper appearance and is beautifully detailed with raised insects in vivid colors and foliage. ONLY MINOR WEAR UNDERNEATH THE FOOT CONSISTENT WITH AGE. It has the impressed Bretby sunrise mark and is numbered 1475E. Bretby Art Pottery was an art pottery studio founded by Henry Tooth and William Ault in 1882.
